HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - Water has been restored to one community in the Allsbrook area after a water main broke.

The breach in a water main along Highway 701 in Allsbrook was reported to Grand Strand Water and Sewer at 8:53 a.m. Friday, and but water service was quickly restored to the nearby Ports Bay community by 10:02 a.m.

Officials with Grand Strand Water and Sewer could not immediately comment on the cause of the break.

A WMBF News Facebook fan reports that about eight Grand Strand Water trucks, two backhoes and six men were on the scene working to correct the problem.
