MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - The South Carolina Mothers Against Violence group is hosting a toy drive this holiday season and asks for the community's help in collecting gifts for young children.

SCMAV plan to use the toys donated to provide a happy holiday to children who have lost parents to violence.

The group initiated the program with the thought of helping 50 children, and that number continues to grow.

Toys can currently be dropped off for this effort at:

  • Ryan's restaurant in Surfside Beach
  • Chick-Fil-A on Hwy 544 in Surfside Beach
  • Life Outreach Church on Carver St. in Myrtle Beach
  • Big Mike's restaurant on Oak St.

Toys may be dropped off at these locations until December 19, and will be distributed to the children on December 21.
