Powerball drawing reaches $250 million

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Come Thanksgiving morning, some lucky soul could have a lot to be thankful for as the Powerball drawing reaches $250 million.

"We hope a South Carolinian will be the one to stop this jackpot run," said the Lottery's Executive Director Paula Harper Bethea. "A $250 million jackpot is fun for our players, but we encourage everyone to please, above all else, play responsibly."

If you bet the 1 in 176 million odds of winning $250 million in Wednesday night's Powerball, you have the option to take the prize in cash with $166 million.

To play, you must have purchased a ticket by 9:59 p.m. Wednesday. Tickets are $2 at lottery retailers statewide.

If you won $250 million Wednesday night, would you take the cash option of $166 million? Tell us your thoughts on the WMBF News Facebook Fan page.
