MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – A man previously wanted on the charge of attempted murder brought the US Marshals to a quaint Grand Strand apartment complex Monday afternoon.

According to Amanda Lyons with the US Marshals Service, authorities were in the Cobblestone apartment complex near 48th Avenue North in Myrtle Beach Monday to serve a bench warrant for Horry County Police.

The bench warrant was for Kendrick Green. Green was charged with attempted murder, but court records show that charge was prior to an indictment on an assault and battery charge.

The Horry County Solicitor's Office says Green was sentenced to five years, with credit for time served, on Oct. 1, but he never reported to the sheriff's office to begin that sentence.

The US Marshals Service assisted HCPD with Green's first arrest, and were called in to locate him again.

Green was accused of shooting a man in the upper thigh and hitting him in the head with a pistol during a confrontation in September 2011.

A WMBF News crew near the Cobblestone apartments captured the hunt on camera. The US Marshals Service have not commented further on the operation, but photos show the Marshals leading a male away from the scene in handcuffs.

Myrtle Beach Police booking records show Green was taken into custody around 12:45 p.m.
