Posted: Updated:

CONWAY - Fresh off of winning a Big South championship on Saturday afternoon, the Coastal Carolina football team learned it will make its third appearance in the NCAA Division I FCS Playoffs next week. The Chants will visit Bethune-Cookman in the first round of the playoffs on Saturday.

The Chants ended the season with five straight wins to finish 7-4. CCU shared the Big South title with Stony Brook and Liberty, but earned the conference's automatic bid into the playoffs thanks to a perfect 3-0 road record in conference games.

22nd ranked Bethune-Cookman won the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference title this year, finishing 9-2 on the year.

Coastal made the postseason for the first time in 2006, before falling at Appalachian State, and again in 2010, losing to Western Illinois.

Kickoff for the game on November 24th is scheduled for 2 p.m.
