HCFR douses flames in apartment building

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Horry County Fire Rescue has gained control of the fire that broke out in an apartment building just outside of Myrtle Beach Friday afternoon.

HCFR Assistant Chief Justin Gibbons reports the two alarm fire broke out in the Courtyard Apartments on Burcale Road just after 4 p.m.

Smoke and flames were apparent when crews arrived on scene to fight the blaze, which was extinguished around 4:45 p.m.

There's no word on what may have caused this fire.
