HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - A woman was found dead Saturday night after a vehicle went into the water near 4351 Peachtree Road.
According to Deputy Coroner Darris Fowler, 65-year-old Linda Graham, of Socastee, was found dead in her car in the water off of Peachtree Road. She was wearing her seatbelt, and it does not seem like there is any evidence of foul play at this time.
Around 9:30 p.m. Saturday night, Fowler received a phone call from highway patrol saying responders were pulling the car from the water with Graham's body inside, she was non responsive when emergency crews arrived on scene.
It appears she drove her car off the end of the road, where there is a boat ramp. This is not the main boat launch underneath the swing bridge, but at the end of Peachtree Road.
An autopsy is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon to determine cause of death.
The accident remains under investigation.
