GEORGETOWN COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - The Horry County bomb squad was called to a home in the Georgetown area when someone found a suspicious device.
Georgetown County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Carrie Cuthbertson confirms a man found a suspicious object, approximately two feet in length while digging in his backyard on South Island Road.
The man flagged down a sheriff's deputy, who secured the scene until the bomb squad arrived to investigate.
