Crews clear scene of crash on Highway 501

CONWAY, SC (WMBF) - The northbound lanes of Highway 501 have reopened after the accident with injuries shut down the road to traffic during the lunch time hour.

The SC Department of Transportation reports that the crash that occurred around 12:13 p.m. in the northbound lanes of Highway 501 closed the northbound lanes at Gardner Lacey Road.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol was on the scene investigating the crash, and traffic cameras show that traffic was back to normal by 1:30 p.m.

Injuries were reported, but the severity of number of people involved are unknown.
