HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - Horry County Police were called to an unusual scene Friday morning when a stabbing between family members was reported to officials.
According to Sgt. Robert Kegler with HCPD, officers were called to Seacoast Medical Center Friday morning around 6:45 a.m. in response to a male victim who was stabbed multiple times.
A female suspect is in custody for the stabbing and Kegler confirms the accused and the victim are family members, but did not give their specific relationship.
The stabbing itself occurred on Red Tulip Lane in Little River. Kegler says the victim was transported to the hospital for treatment but is not sure if the wounds are life threatening at this time.
Police are uncertain what led to the stabbing. Neither the victim's name nor the suspect's name has been released.
