MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - A hotel guest's breakfast is charred when it caught fire inside a Myrtle Beach hotel room early Friday morning.
Around 6 o'clock, Myrtle Beach firefighters were called to the Driftwood building at the Sea Mist hotel at 1207 South Ocean Blvd when a fire alarm was pulled. When crews got there, they ran up to the fifth floor of the building and found smoke in the hallway.
Firefighters determined the source of the fire was coming from food on a stove in one of the hotel rooms. It was quickly put out, dispatchers said.
No one was evacuated from the building and there is no word of any injuries.
