19-year-old dies in Horry County crash

HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal accident that happened Thursday night north of Conway.

According to the SCHP website, the crash occurred just after 9:30p.m. in the 1400 block of Knotty Branch Road, just off of U.S. Highway 501.

It's still unknown what caused the cause that killed 19-year-old Matthew Carl Hucks of Conway.

Horry County Deputy Coroner Tony Hendrick says Hucks died at the scene of the crash from multiple blunt force trauma.
