Crews respond to illegal burn at MB Speedway

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Horry County Fire Rescue is on the scene of an illegal burn at the Myrtle Beach Speedway Thursday afternoon.

According to Leslie Yancey, Spokesperson for HCFR, the fire department was called around 2:50 p.m. when a trash burn got out of control at the speedway.

Yancey says four cars were on fire when crews arrived on scene, and while the flames are currently under control, the blaze is an illegal trash burn.

It is unclear at this time if a citation will be given to the person responsible for the fire.
