Florence Co. administrator heads back to retirement

FLORENCE COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - Florence County Administrator Thomas Robinson is looking forwarding to a return to the retired life after a brief stint in his current position.

Robinson has served Florence County as the administrator since December 2011, but admits to WMBF News that it has not been a good fit for him or the county.

Used to being a problem solver and visionary, Robinson found he hasn't been able to excel in Florence, and looks forward to getting back to the retirement he enjoyed before taking the job.

Mr. Robinson's last day as administrator will be Friday, Nov. 9.

Now Robinson says he'll be heading back home to Pine Hurst, North Carolina we he'd like to do some volunteer work and work on his golf game.
