GEORGETOWN, SC (WMBF) – A fight among high school girls landed one in a hospital room and the rest in police custody.
One of two fights broke out at Carvers Bay High School around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday morning prompting the Georgetown County Sheriff's Office to respond and assist, according to Georgetown County Schools spokesman Ray White.
Officials could not detail when the second fight began or which of the two incidents caused the injuries that sent one of the teen girls to the hospital.
White says he's not sure what they were arguing about, but says she has been released from the hospital
Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Carrie Cuthbertson says the four minor girls taken into custody are facing charges.
Two of the young teens are charged with disorderly conduct. One girl is charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest, and the fourth is charged with assault and battery.
