Votes force run-off for mayor in Marion

MARION, SC (WMBF) - Election night in Marion is not drawing to a conclusion, and poll workers ran into more than one speed bump trying to tabulate the votes.

With only six out the eight precincts in the area reporting, the machine used to count to votes broke down. Its unknown right now how the poll workers plan to resolve that issue and they could say that the votes counted would force the two candidates for mayor, William Bo McMillian and Pat Phillips, into a run-off.

The run-off election will be held in exactly two weeks.
