Carrabba's employee victim of armed robbery

MURRELLS INLET, SC (WMBF) - The Georgetown County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help with identifying an armed robbery suspect.  

At approximately 9:30 p.m. Monday night a Carrabba's employee was approached by the suspect after leaving the restaurant at 511 Courtfield Drive in Murrells Inlet, according to the Georgetown County Sheriff's Office. The suspect appeared to have a handgun and demanded money from the employee. The would-be robbery, however, did not get any cash and fled the scene on foot.

The suspect is a white male and stands at about 6 feet tall. At the time of the incident the suspect was wearing a green sweatshirt and blue jeans.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the Georgetown County Sheriff's Office at (843) 546-5102 or send a tip using Text-A-Tip. Just dial 274637 from any cell phone, and text the word "GCSOTIP" followed by your message.

No one was injured in the incident.
