PEMBROKE, NC (WMBF) - An apparent act of revenge has landed one Pembroke man behind bars.
According to Lt. Duckworth with the Robeson County Sheriff's Office, Jessie Locklear Jr. was found setting fire to his roommate's things.
Apparently Locklear believed his roommate had stolen his television and sound system, and upon discovering they were missing took a handful of his roommate's thing to burn in their front yard.
In further retaliation the roommate, Larry Dewayne Jones, set ablaze several of Locklear's personal things inside the home causing about $15,000 damage to the structure.
Jones was arrested Sunday and charged with second-degree arson, burning personal property and larceny.
Locklear is charged with burning personal property. Duckworth said Locklear was also wanted in Robeson County for failure to appear for charges of driving while intoxicated and driving while license revoked, and trespassing.
Locklear's bond was set at $12,100. He was scheduled for his first court appearance on Wednesday.
