Woman robbed in Mellow Mushroom parking lot

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Police are searching for a man who held a woman at gunpoint and robbed her in the parking lot of Mellow Mushroom on 21st Avenue North Wednesday night.

The incident happened just after 8 p.m. Wednesday. The woman was walking in the parking lot when the man pulled a gun on her and took her wallet, said Myrtle Beach Police.

According to the victim, the robber grabbed her cell phone, but then gave it back to her.

The suspect had a black hoodie pulled over his face at the time of the crime, according to police.

Investigators used K-9 Units to aid in the search for the suspect, and a witness to the incident joined to detectives in a nearby apartment complex in hopes of identifying the culprit.

At the time, no suspects have been named. Anyone with information is asked to call Myrtle Beach Police.
