DILLON, SC (WMBF) – Two teens are facing charges after pulling a gun on two women in a store in Dillon and nearly escaping with the cash from the register.
The two men entered Diane's Tobacco Shop in Dillon Monday afternoon. The two female victims, who were working in the store at the time, told police that the men were armed with guns, and pointed the guns at them demanding cash.
After opening the cash register, the men seized the money in the drawer and fled in the direction of the Family Dollar.
When police arrived and began their search for the suspects, they discovered the cash drawer from the tobacco shop in the alley. After reviewing the video surveillance from the store, officers were able to identify the two men.
Officers searching the home where the two men reportedly reside, they found 19-year-old Andrea Belgrave and 17-year-old Andrew McLellan hiding under a bed mattress. According to the police report, Belgrave had a gun in his back pants pocket.
Both are charged with armed robbery and possession of a weapon during a commission of a violent crime.
