Head-on crash injures two drivers near Conway

HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - Horry County Fire Rescue has cleared the scene of a head-on crash on Highway 701 near Pitch Landing Road that sent two people to the hospital.

The Conway Fire Department also assisted in clearing that accident.

Investigators say around 11 p.m. Thursday night, the two cars collided injuring both drivers. One was taken by helicopter to a local hospital. The other was transported by ambulance.

Both women were in stable condition at the scene; however, there's no word on what they're current condition is now.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash.
