MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Hartsville's Homecoming football game last week quickly went from cheering fans to stunned silence when senior lineman Ronald Rouse collapsed on the field. Emergency responders tried to revive him, but Rouse died that night.
Consider This: It's so sad, and seems so unfair, when someone so young passes away. And although Ronald Rouse's family is grieving, they are also sharing a story of life, the love of their son and his love of football.
Ronald's mom shared how she feels, (quote from Stephanie's report on 10/15) "Once you know God, you know He doesn't make any mistakes. I can't be angry. I can't be upset. I can't ask ‘why Lord my child?' Because He needs His beautiful flowers, too. And I think of it as an honor that he chose me to be RJ's parent."
Ms. Rouse teaches us to appreciate what we have now and to be thankful for the time we get to spend together. Thank you, Ms. Rouse. In your time of pain, when you deserve someone to uplift you, you uplift all of us.
