MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Trick or treat has a "howl" new meaning this Halloween season. The Friends of Horry County Animal Care Center are preparing for their First Annual Howl-O-Ween Extravaganza and Adoptathon.
This doggie Olympics meets Halloween event is being held on Sunday, October 28 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Coastal Canine Dog Sports. All proceeds will benefit the Horry County Animal Care Center/ Friends of HCACC, Keep Our Pets Food Bank and Castaway Paws Rescue.
The fundraiser will feature everything from dog sport demonstrations to trick competitions. A Howl-O-Ween extravaganza would not be a treat without a Howl-O-Ween howl contest or costume contests, involving both owner and their four legged friends.
If you do not currently own a pooch or are looking to adopt, the Horry County Animal Care Center along with Castaway Paws Rescue will be on hand with numerous pets available for adoption.
The 3,400 square foot dog training facility will be filled with numerous vendors and a bake sale and silent auction to benefit homeless animals. Professional groomers will also be available to provide nail trims.
Coastal Canine Dog Sports if located in the Southern Pines Plaza at 3524 Holmestown Road, Myrtle Beach, SC 29588.
