ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Anderson police said a man tried to take a 10-month-old baby out of a woman's car at the Anderson Mall on Sunday.

Police said they were called to the mall after the woman called to report the attempted kidnapping from the parking lot outside of the mall along Clemson Boulevard.

The mother told FOX Carolina she had seen the man circling the lot then when he went to grab her, she pushed him away and ran inside with her daughter.

Officers weren't able to locate the man when they arrived on scene. They said the man was driving a silver Ford F-150.

The woman told FOX Carolina he was in his mid-to-late 30s, was about 6' tall, had an unkempt beard with brown eyes.
