Bennettsville inmate assaults corrections officer

FLORENCE, SC (WMBF) – An inmate from Bennettsville has been charged after he allegedly assaulted a corrections officer.

US States Attorney Bill Nettles reports that 34-year-old inmate Jimmy Davis was charged with a one count indictment, allegedly that while incarcerated he attached a Federal Correctional Officer at the FCI Bennettsville.

The maximum penalty on that charge is eight years in prison.
