MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – A Grand Strand woman is facing charges in connection to an altercation after she filed the police report.
The woman who reported the incident report with Myrtle Beach Police, 23-year-old Hakina Tinakwa Alston, says she was at her sister's home Monday night when a female jumped out of her car without speaking and just "bum rushed" her.
During the ensuing struggle, Alston admits she bit the victim on the breast. The fight was ended when Alston's sister pulled her away and took her inside.
When Alston returned to her own house, another family member encouraged her to go to the police department and file a report, claiming that she and the other female were involved in an ongoing dispute.
Officers later responded to the hospital and found a young woman with multiple lacerations to her neck, face, chest and arms who identified her attacker as Alston.
After further investigation, Alston was arrested and charged with assault.
