Posted: Updated:

Joe Moglia has the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers off to a 2-0 start this year, thanks to a triple overtime thriller at furman on saturday in which the Chants came out on top. Now for the team's efforts, it is reaping the rewards.

Quarterback Aramis Hillary threw for a new career-high 292 yards while completing 20 passes on Saturday, and had three total touchdowns while being named the Big South Offensive Player of the Week. Linebacker Quinn Backus led the Chants with 11 tackles and recovered a key fumble early in the second half to garner Defensive Player of the Week honors. Kicker Alex Catron has also been recognized. He hit a game-tying 45-yard field goal at the end of regulation while going 3-4 on the day. He was named Co-Special Teams Player of the Week for the conference.

The Chants are back in action at home on Saturday against Eastern Kentucky. Kickoff is slated for 6:00 p.m.
