GEORGETOWN COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - A Georgetown man is facing several burglary charges after police identified him as the man responsible for a string of burglaries in the Lambertown Community.
Carrie Cuthbertson, spokeswoman for the Georgetown County Sheriff's Office, explains that officers responded to the neighborhood around 12:15 p.m. Thursday.
The home in question had purportedly been broken into by the suspect, and relatives of the victims saw him force his way in, then leave through the back door and run into the woods.
Deputies canvassed the area and found a suspect matching the description given by witnesses, identified as 30-year-old Cicero Manuel Lambert.
As part of an ongoing investigation conducted by Georgetown County Sheriff's Investigators in the Lambertown Community of Georgetown County, Lambert was identified as a suspect in three other burglaries occurring over the past week.
Lambert is in custody at the Georgetown County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing, charged with four counts of burglary.
