1 arrested, 1 wanted for Lumberton man's murder

FAYETTEVILLE, NC (WMBF) – Authorities in North Carolina have captured one murder suspect and are on the hunt for the second suspect in connection with a Lumberton man shooting's death.

Gavin MacRoberts, spokesman for the City of Fayetteville Police Department, tells WMBF News that 21-year-old Garrett Alford of Lumberton was found shot to death behind a home on the 200 block of Colonial Drive Tuesday night.

Homicide detectives identified two suspects in connection with the case, 25-year-old Steven Moore and 25-year-old Rahsheed Williams.

After warrants for the charges of murder, conspiracy to commit murder and robbery with a deadly weapon were secured for each suspect, Steven Moore was located and taken into custody in Robeson County Wednesday morning.

Police are still looking for Rahsheed Williams.
