Relief for high gas prices is on the way

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) The damage from Hurricane Isaac is not believe to be serious, which means gulf coast refineries should get back to work quickly.

With oil workers heading back to the rigs, prices for gasoline could go down 20 cents a gallon by the end of the summer into September.

According to Triple-A in the Carolinas: the current average for a gallon of regular gas here in South Carolina is $3.60.

North Carolina is about 20-cents more and Georgia is coming in at 24 cents more on average so you might want to get gas in South Carolina before heading north or south.
