SC mother charged in the death of her own baby

SPARTANBURG MOTEL, SC (WMBF) A South Carolina mother is in jail awaiting bond after police charged her in the death of her own 10-month-old daughter.

Authorities update say 21-year-old Marry Ann Williams of York was charged on late in the week of Aug 26 with homicide by child abuse.

Deputies say Williams left her daughter, Aaliyah, alone in a bathtub at a Spartanburg motel on Aug 20.

Emergency workers revived the girl, but she died in a hospital about a week later.
