HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) The man blamed for starting the most destructive wildfire in South Carolina history has been released on bond for his newest drug charges.

Marc Torchi was arrested last week and faces several counts of possession and manufacturing controlled substances known as bath salts.

Torchi was released yesterday after posting a bond over 26-thousand dollars.

It's not known if he has an attorney.

In 2009, Torchi paid fines after a wildfire destroyed 76 homes in Horry County.
