LORIS, SC (WMBF) - Runway rehab and improvements will close the Loris Airport for 30 days.
Starting Tuesday, Sept. 4 at 8 a.m. the Loris/Twin Cities Airport will close for rehabilitation to the runway and improvement to the windsock. The airport is expected to reopen on Oct. 4.
The airport's facelift is slated to cost $140,000, funded primarily by the Federal Aviation Administration. Five percent of the funding is coming from Horry County airport revenues.
