MURRELLS INLET, SC (WMBF) – A yearlong narcotics investigation by Horry County Police has landed one Murrells Inlet woman behind bars.

Detectives with HCPD's Narcotics and Vice Section began an investigation into the production of Crystal Meth in an apartment on Sweetwater Boulevard in Murrells Inlet in 2011, reports HCPD spokesman Sgt. Robert Kegler.

Information gathered in that investigation led detectives to search a residence around 7 p.m. Tuesday night where they discovered approximately one gram of marijuana, one gram of crystal meth, and paraphernalia used in the ingestion of illegal drugs.

Following the search, 47-year-old Jeanne Marie Abblett was taken into custody and charged with distribution of meth, possession of meth, simple possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Abblett remains in custody at the J. Reuben Long Detention Center.
