First Southern Living showcase home debuts Friday

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - The Southern Living Showcase Home, of Classic (a classic homes builder) located on 7464 Catena Lane in Seville at Grande Dunes, opens to the public Friday, August 31 with Mayor John Rhodes cutting the ribbon at 10:00 a.m.

This is the Grand Strand's first 2012 Showcase Home, and the home will be open Monday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sundays. Home tours will run through Sept. 23 with a holiday tour is scheduled for Nov. 2 through Nov. 18.

"We are excited to share our beautiful showcase home with the public in the coming weeks," said Susan White of Classic. "Showcasing the products of over 50 local and national trade sponsors, it represents the latest in building and design ideas."

There will be a $5 donation collected at the door and proceeds will benefit Hope House of Myrtle Beach and Coastal Animal Rescue.

Classic has been a member of the Southern Living Custom Building program for over five years was among 100 builders chosen for the nineteenth annual builder program, and is comprised of Susan and Berkley White, a well known mother/son team.

Classic has built more than 800 homes in the Carolinas and its founders have more than 50 years of combined experience in home building. The Southern Living Showcase Home represents their 149th custom home in the Grande Dunes community.
