Monique joined the WMBF News team from WXIX, our sister station in Cincinnati, OH. She worked as the weekend Assignment Editor and Web Producer where she was able to put her writing skills to the test. She learned the importance of being both quick yet diligent as breaking news struck often and she was in charge of getting the information out to viewers immediately. She also worked during the week assisting Producers with writing and editing the daily newscasts.
Before working at WXIX, Monique interned at WKRC, the CBS affiliate in Cincinnati. Monique says it was at her internship when she realized news was her calling. Monique's most memorable assignment at her internship was interviewing Roto Rooter's CEO Rick Arquilla, after he had appeared on CBS's "Undercover Boss."
Monique traveled to Los Angeles where she interviewed Patrick Warburton ("Seinfeld" & "Family Guy"), Christopher Knight ("The Brady Bunch") and Dave Coulier ("Full House") at a celebrity golf tournament.
Monique graduated from Northern Kentucky University with a B.A. in Journalism.
Monique is most excited about her new role as Video Journalist at WMBF because of all the new people she's going to meet.
