MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – A Myrtle Beach man is behind bars after police say a child in his care tested positive for narcotics earlier this summer.
The incident report from Myrtle Beach Police states that a case worker with the Department of Social Services concluded an investigation on June 26 concerning the seven-month-old victim.
That child, according to the report, tested positive for cocaine.
Monday night 25-year-old Brandon Michael France of Myrtle Beach was arrested and charged with unlawful conduct toward a child. The arrest report indicates France currently lives in a hotel room on South Ocean Boulevard, but has a more permanent address military base overseas.
The reports given did not give further details about the child's custody or relationship to France. The incident report did list a 19-year-old female suspect, but no other arrests have been made.
