FLORENCE
COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – A Timmonsville man is back behind bars facing additional armed robbery charges, shortly after being released on bond.
Captain
Michael Nunn, spokesman for the Florence County Sheriff's Office, tells WMBF News
that 19-year-old Raheim Rajuan Taylor of Timmonsville was arrested on Thursday
and charged with armed robbery while armed with a deadly weapon.
This
charge, Nunn comments, stems from an incident on July 16. Investigators believe
Taylor entered a convenience store on East Smith Street wearing a mask,
pointing a gun at the clerk and demanding money.
A
witness later identified the suspect in that armed robbery as Taylor, who was
recently released from the Florence County Detention Center on a $15,000 surety
bond in connection to another armed robbery.
The
robbery Taylor was charged with last week, Nunn adds, occurred at a convenience
store on July 20, employing the same methods as the previous crime.
Thursday,
Taylor was booked back into the Florence County Detention Center where he
awaits a bond hearing on his second armed robbery charge.
Armed robbery is a felony punishable by up to 30, but
not less than 10 years in prison. Nunn
continues that this investigation is ongoing, and additional charges are
possible.
