MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Police in Myrtle Beach have arrested one man that they say was spying on and snapping photos of other men in campground showers.

Officers responded to the Myrtle Beach KOA Kampground around 1 a.m. Thursday where two juvenile males reported a man was watching them shower through cracks in the stalls.

According to the incident report obtained by WMBF News, the suspect was also pointing a black cell phone at one the juveniles over the top of his shower stall.

The victims said they got out of the showers immediately after noticing that the suspect was watching them, and went through the campground trying to locate the bike that belongs to the suspect. They commented that the suspect did not have a towel with him in the bathroom, and was wearing the same clothes as before when he was located.

When police arrived and questioned the suspect, he said he had been in the bathroom to shower and shave, but he was not taking pictures of the victims. He adds that the SD card for his phone was missing, preventing him from taking photos.

The suspect, 39-year-old James Christopher Grubbs, was transported to the Myrtle Beach Jail where he is with voyeurism, a felony offense. Grubbs' bond has not been set.
