MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - After Myrtle Beach Police responded to the Chick-fil-A restaurant on Mr. Joe White Avenue Wednesday afternoon and discovered a body in the parking lot, a cause of death has been determined.
The dispatch website for Myrtle Beach Police says crews responded to a deceased person on the 1900 block of Mr. Joe White Avenue around 2:18 p.m.
Lt. Furlong, spokesman for the Myrtle Beach Police Department, confirms that they responded and found a deceased individual.
The Horry County Coroner's Office says the individual is a 32-year-old white male. The office confirms that suicide and homicide have been eliminated as a possible cause of death, and that, although specifics are not yet available, the death is believed to be the result of natural causes. Officials also add they believe the time of death was Tuesday evening around 6:45 p.m.
Investigators who were at the scene tell our WMBF News crew they believe the deceased male, who was found inside a silver Chevy Avalanche, may have been there since approximately 7 p.m. Tuesday night.
Those investigators are working to identify the male, and cannot release his name pending notification of his family.
Horry County Deputy Coroner Darris Fowler explains that their preliminary investigation has revealed no signs of foul play. An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday morning.
