MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – A Myrtle Beach woman is spending time behind bars after police say she stabbed her boyfriend in a fit of jealousy.
The incident report from Myrtle Beach Police states a man was sitting in the parking lot of the Olympic Flame Pancake House Tuesday night, smoking a cigarette and talking to an ex-lover on the phone.
The victim claims his current girlfriend approached him with a steak knife and stabbed him in his left arm. The man ran, but reports his girlfriend came running after him.
When police arrived on scene, they noted blood spatters and smears that would indicate the victim had tried to run away after the assault. The man was treated on scene by EMS, but refused further medical treatment.
The report continues that officers located the girlfriend, identified as 41-year-old Jennifer Gero of Myrtle Beach not long after the incident. She was reportedly intoxicated and disorderly when she was taken into custody.
Gero was booked in to the Myrtle Beach Jail and charged with aggravated assault. Her bond has not been set.
