MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) A warrant has been issued for a man who allegedly assaulted the mother of his child inside a hotel room early Saturday morning.
The incident happened around 3 a.m. at 2300 North Ocean Boulevard. The name of the hotel has not been released by police.
According to the incident report, the victim told police the father of her 8-month-old baby wanted to have sex with her but she refused and told him she only wanted to be friends with him.
WMBF News doesn't name suspects until they're formally charged.
The offender then went outside on the patio for several minutes when he returned, the suspect put his hands around the victim's neck and held her down for approximately 45 second, stated the report.
The victim tried to leave the room but the offender grabbed her by the wrist and wouldn't let go. The victim then yelled for her sister who was in the other room. The victim's sister witnessed the suspect holding her wrists with a very tight grip, stated the report.
According to the report, the offender kept asking the victim for the baby but the victim didn't feel safe giving the baby to the suspect and he later left the scene on foot, according to the report.
The victim was treated by EMS on the scene and police issued a warrant for criminal domestic violence for the suspect.
