Area HS football jamboree schedules released

CLIO, SC (WMBF) - The Grand Strand and Pee Dee will once again host some of the biggest jamborees in the Palmetto State this August.

Marlboro County will welcome ten of the best teams in the Pee Dee for the annual Dennis Miller Jamboree of Champions.

The event has developed into a key part of each team's preseason preparation.

"We feel like it's not only one of the strongest jamborees in the Pee Dee, but one of the strongest in the state with the quality of teams that we have, and the caliber of teams that we have," said Marlboro County head coach Dean Boyd.

While Dillon's Jackie Hayes added, "By far one of the best jamborees, Coach Boyd and his staff do a great job putting it on. We look forward to it every year, it's a good measuring stick and we get excited about going over the McAlpine Stadium and playing."

The action in Bennettsville will get underway at 5pm on August 10th.

In the Grand Strand, the CNB Kickoff Classic is entering it's 23rd consecutive year.  This year's event will once again feature all nine Horry County schools, plus Georgetown.

The CNB Kickoff Classic will be hosted by Conway on August 10th, starting at 6pm.

Schedules for both jamborees are listed below:

Dennis Miller Jamboree of Champions (All times approximate)

5pm - Central vs. Carvers Bay

6pm - Cheraw vs. Lakewood

7pm - Chesterfield vs. Manning

8pm - Dillon vs. Hartsville

9pm - Lamar vs. Marlboro County

CNB Kickoff Classic (All times approximate)

6pm - Aynor vs. Socastee

7pm - St. James vs. Waccamaw

8pm - Green Sea Floyds vs. Carolina Forest

9pm - Myrtle Beach vs. Loris

10pm - Conway vs. North Myrtle Beach
