Son discovers parents dead in Lumberton home

LUMBERTON, NC (WMBF) - The Robeson County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a couple was discovered dead in their home by a family member.

Major Howard Branch with the Robeson County Sheriff's Office says a man and his wife were found dead in their home on Old Whiteville Road in Lumberton around 10 a.m. Wednesday.

The deceased, 62-year-old Paul and 57-year-old Kathy Adams, were found by their son in the master bedroom of the home. The son is in his early twenties.

Both were killed as a result of gunshot wounds, Branch adds.

The investigation into their deaths is considered a homicide as more details are emerging. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Robeson County Sheriff's Office.
