Kings Highway reopens at 48th Avenue after crash

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - An accident with reported entrapment closed down lanes of Kings Highway near 48th Avenue North for nearly two hours.

The dispatch website for Myrtle Beach Police and Fire says the collision occurred at the intersection of 48th Avenue North and North Kings Highway around 4 p.m. Tuesday.

The extent of injuries or number of vehicles involved is unknown, but a WMBF News crew in the area says traffic was being redirected from the southbound lanes at 4:50 p.m. as first responders worked to clear the scene.

As of 6:15 p.m., units had cleared the scene and traffic patterns were back to normal.
