Little River Neck Rd reopens after head-on collision

NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - The Department of Public Safety has cleared the roadway after a head on collision on Little River Neck Road Tuesday afternoon.

The North Myrtle Beach Department of Public Safety issued a NIXLE alert Tuesday afternoon advising motorists that a traffic accident on Little River Neck had completely shut down the highway.

Pat Dowling, spokesman for the City of North Myrtle Beach tells WMBF News that wreckers were on the scene working to clear the accident and the road would be reopened shortly.

A second NIXLE alert was issued around 2:15 p.m. that the road had been reopened.

Dowling says four individuals were transported to a local hospital but the extent of their injuries are unknown right now.
