FLORENCE COUNTY, SC (WMBF) Of course there's plenty of good food across Florence County.  Unfortunately, we couldn't tell you about all of them. Among all that great stuff is plenty of family, country cooking like Bazen's Family Restaurant, where they've been serving up lots of love for many years.

It's a family affair at Bazen's Family Restaurant on Irby Street in Florence.

Moms and dads, brothers and sisters, aunts and uncles and don't forget the cousins...and that's just who works at Bazen's.

"We have two sisters that own it and run it. My sister's husband helps us run it, my sister's son runs it at night," explains co-owner Lisa Ralley. "We have three brothers in and out that are helping. We have an aunt that helps us everyday. Cousins, oh, we have so many cousins in here working!"

And while you may not be related, they don't mind treating you like you're a part of the family.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner, buffet-style with plenty of home cooking keeps bringing customers back on a regular basis.

"Ninety-five percent are probably repeat customers and we feel really close to them; it's like family," smiles Ralley.

The great food even keeps bringing the employees back, like aunt Jeanette and cousin Marsha.

"Do you guys get to eat while you are up here?" asks Storm Team Chief Meteorologist Rob Hatchell. "Is that why you come back?"

"Yes! Now look at us and tell me if you think that's one of the side benefits for working up here," laughs Marsha.

But so does the fun. There's definitely something about this place that makes you want to come back.

"It's in our blood," identifies Ralley. "If I ever want to leave again, I'll have to get a blood transfusion to get it out. Because we always come back."
