MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – One Myrtle Beach woman is feeling the sting of reality behind bars after police say she attacked a female with pepper spray.
Police initially responded to a 911 hang up on the 1300 block of Hemingway Street in Myrtle Beach around 7:15 p.m. Tuesday.
In the incident report from Myrtle Beach Police, the victim reported that the suspect, 22-year-old Asia Carrissia Knox, had passed her while driving in opposite directions on Canal Street and yelled out of her vehicle at her, saying she would, "cut her [expletive]."
At that point, the victim reports that Knox turned around to follow her to Nance Street, exited her car and approached the car the victim was driving.
Knox is then said to have sprayed the victim in the face with pepper spray. The victim claims she ran into a residence on Hemingway Street and Knox followed her, prompting the victim to run through the home and out of the back door to escape.
A witness then called police, who observed severe red marks on the victim's face. EMS responded to treat the victim on the scene.
Knox was arrested and transported to the Myrtle Beach Jail where she is charged with assault and battery. Bond had not been set Wednesday morning.
