FLORENCE COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - The sheriff's office in Florence County has made one arrest after they say a man was shot in the leg Tuesday.

Captain Michael Nunn, spokesman for the Florence County Sheriff's Office, tells WMBF News that one victim was shot in the leg during an argument off of Rae Street in Lake City around 3 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.

That victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment in a private car, and their injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.

Nunn adds that investigators identified a person of interest Tuesday, and Wednesday determined that person was a suspect. Warrants were against 23-year-old Daryl Lanell Epps of Lake City for attempted murder, and Epps was taken into custody on Thursday.

Epps is being held at the Florence County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
