MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) Two suspects in recent bank robberies out of state were picked up by Myrtle Beach Police during a traffic stop over the weekend.

The Danville Police Department in Danville, VA released a statement on Thursday identifying a man wanted in connection with the robbery of a local bank on Monday, June 21. That suspect, 47-year-old Lawrence Winford Roy, was described as a male from the Henry County area standing 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighing approximately 211 pounds.

Authorities believed Roy would be driving a 2001 Jaguar, 4 door with VA tags. Roy is suspected to have also robbed a bank in Greensboro, NC.

An incident report WMBF News attained from Myrtle Beach Police says a vehicle matching that exact description was stopped in the area of Chester Street and Mr. Joe White Avenue around 8:00 p.m. Saturday.

When the vehicles' occupants matched the descriptions of those wanted for the bank robbery in North Carolina, the traffic officers called for back-up. Police confirmed that Roy and his passenger, 41-year-old Quincey Annette Hodnett of Martinsville, VA, were wanted on bank robbery charges out of Greensboro, NC and transported them to the Myrtle Beach Jail.

Both fugitives were then transported to J. Reuben Long Detention Center. Booking records show that Hodnett's bond was set at $75,000. Roy's bond was set at $200,000.

Danville Police Department said that Roy will be extradited on a later date.
